We are passionate about decks and strongly believe that they can make any home better. We both build new decks and replace existing ones. The number of options can be overwhelming, but we are happy to talk you through them. Below are a few of the choices that are available:
- Decking types – pressure treated pine, cedar, composite
- Railing types – spindles, horizontal or vertical planks, wire goat panels
- Skirting types – horizontal or vertical planks, lattice, or even stone
We strive to build the highest quality decks possible. Doing so requires superior materials and craftmanship. To that end, here are a few of the standard features and options that set our decks apart:
- Screws – regardless of the decking material, we secure it using premium screws. Screws don’t work themselves loose like nails do. It takes longer, but the end result is worth it.
- Timberlok and Ledgerlok bolts – these provide a rock solid connection to the house and posts.
- Subledger and ledger seal – when possible we prefer to install both of these in order to protect the house we are attaching to.
- Trex RainEscape deck drainage system – an option to create a dry space underneath your deck. Can also help with water control in a poor drainage situation.
