When designing houses to be built by myself or others I strive to create spaces that are beautiful, practical, and affordably built. The last criteria is especially important to me, as even the most stunning designs lose relevance when they are well beyond the means of ordinary people. So that manifests itself in both the house’s characteristics and materials. The former avoids over complicated features and extreme heights. The latter should be affordable, readily available, and easily installed by professionals and homeowners alike.
